The success of workshop at Babcock University in Ilishan-Remo, Nigeria, was filled with testimonies, as participants expressed the wealth of knowledge they gained through the session.
The event titled ‘Sustainable Research Collaboration and Basic Grants Writing Workshop,‘ organized by the Research, Innovation, and International Cooperation department of Babcock University, took place on the 5th and 6th June 2023. Prof. Evans Osabuohien was honoured to share insights and knowledge on this important topic to a crop of scholars from multidisciplinary background.
The first day of the event, 5th June 2023 was an online session where Prof. Evans Osabuohien shared tips on conducting innovative research for grant awards with the participants. The final day of the event entailed a practical hands-on session with the participants. The participants learned the art of crafting a grant wining research topic, drafting an innovative research proposal and aligning research proposals to the goals of the funding party.
During the workshop, Prof Evans Osabuohien had the opportunity to delve into various aspects of grant writing research, including the relevance of collaboration, personal reflections, the impact of collaboration on research and academia, institutional collaboration examples, and valuable insights on sustaining collaboration.
One of the memorable things about the final day of the event was that some of Prof. Osabuohien’s mentees were in attendance at the workshop making it a collaborative training experience combined with his birthday celebrations.
