How to Succeed in Research Endeavours with Rewardable Academic Impacts

Professor Evans Osabuohien has once again added another feather to his cap, after his outstanding presentation at virtual space where he spoke on ‘Engaging in Rewardable Research Endeavours in Business, Social Sciences and Humanities’.

He noted the challenges to researching but expanded on the limitless possibilities, opportunities and benefits of research and the hierarchical impact that research has on the researcher during the event that held 4th June 2020, just two days to his birthday. He further elucidated what it takes to advance from knowledge adaptability through visibility, stability, and integrity to immortality. The presentation is freely available online

Amid similar events, Professor Evans Osabuohien also contributed to knowledge, when he dished another outstanding presentation at a workshop. The workshop themed: 3rd Workshop on Writing Research Proposal and Sourcing Research Grants for Social and Management Scientists was organised by the Institute of Managerial Economists of Nigeria in collaboration with the Faculty of Management and Social Sciences, Hallmark University.

Professor Evans Osabuohien presentation titled ‘The Practicality of Grant Winning and Execution for Management and Social Scientists’ won him admirable recognition by the organisers and the participants at the workshop that held 11th & 12th June 2020.  The presentation is online.


Prof Evans Osabuohien is a good team player, hardworking, intelligent and self-driven who demonstrates maturity, innovativeness and responsibility on any assignment. He is endowed with a pleasant personality and capability to work effectively in multi-cultural environments. He has executed funded research projects as an individual, team leader, and team member. He is astute in research, which has resulted in publication of four books and over 155 scholarly articles. He has participation in conferences/workshops/short courses across the world. He was appointed as the Head of Department (HOD) in 2016, emerging as the Youngest HOD in the University. He received a Double Promotion to the Rank of a Full Professor of Economics in December 2017, which made him the Youngest Professor in the University. In May 2020, he was recognised as ‘One of the 6 Youngest Professors Nigeria Ever Had’. He is the Pioneer Chair at the Centre for Economic Policy and Development Research (CEPDeR) as well as the Pioneer Chair for Regional Centre of Expertise, Ogun State (RCE Ogun). He is a member of many International Learned Societies/Professional Associations. He is a Visiting Professor at Witten/Herdecke University, Germany and Visiting Scholar at University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (June- December, 2020). He is the Editor of ‘Handbook of Research on In-Country Determinants and Implications of Foreign Land Acquisitions’ (2015) and ‘The Palgrave Handbook of Agricultural and Rural Development in Africa’ (2020), Handbook of Research on Institutions Development for Sustainable and Inclusive Development in Africa (2021) as well as the Guest Editor for African Journal of Economic and Management Studies (AJEMS) on ‘Labour Issues in Africa’s Agricultural and Rural Transformation I & II’ (2020).
